This is an ESL site but many of the activities are appropriate for any kids struggling with vocabulary or grammar.

This site is mind boggling. It has been done as an international project for teaching English learners. Included are some listening tests that can be downloaded to MP3 players.

This site includes ready to print and use reading centers for elementary grade levels.

This is from Great Britain. This particular game is for matching words to the general shapes of their letters but, if you are interested, there are many things for teachers and students of all ages.

This has some free quizzes for various subjects but it has a lot of ads and you have to join to get all of the quizzes. There is one for practicing the 7 multiplication table and some sight word activities that are good.

These activities are directly designed for SF but there are many other interesting and useful things on the jc-schoos.net site as well.

This site has resources for Harcourt reading but I've found that selections are sometimes the same as Scott Foresman. I like the fluency builders.

Dr. Schacter has presented at the reading symposium and worked in some WV counties. He has posted some materials for free download at this site as well as contact info for buying his book.

This site targets beginning readers but intermediate teachers working with strugglers would find abundant resources for all 5 components here.

This is just one area of the scholastic site where fans of I Spy can play games online.

You can type in any text and it will generate practice with words in dashed lines on guidelines.

This particular page lets you print activities for use of word families. There are other skills on the site as well.

There are a variety of phonics activities to use in centers and numerous other resources here. This site has been active for many years.

My favorite thing here is the vocabulary dominoes.

Yet another school system website with an alphabetical list of resources. The language arts matrix is also worth exploring.

Some fairly good activities but a little annoying with clutter and small game area.

Useful information when doing a unit on the states. Roll over the name of the state to find its abbreviation and capital. Click on the folder to open a page of information.

There is a slide show of all the presidents as well as information on the presidents and first ladies. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the link.

There are word search and dice makers among other useful tools.

Some good clip art including some real photos of animals

There is a great Dolch word assessment and activities for teaching high frequency words. Also the flashcards and Bingo games for teaching concepts such as the seasons are good.

This site has everything you could wish for in teaching high frequency words including powerpoints where the student can click to hear the word.

This is a site under construction with some real good things already posted. The jeopardy game is great. They are building a site for practicing academic vocabulary.
